christmas dinner was really good. i can't say that i always love the food, but the holiday meals do make me feel like i'm not forever stuck with a predictable rotating menu.
here are some photos from the first month i was here. the trip was out to cape evans and scott's hut. the hut is to be preserved exactly as it was left many many years ago. these photos are from when the sea ice was stable and no one can go out here now unless by helicopter.
and some funny friends along the way to and from cape evans. these are adelie penguins and are the only ones i've seen so far. they are too cute for words.
